Hurricane Matthew a Category 4 Atlantic hurricane caused widespread devastation in the southeastern United States. Jacksonville based Magellan Transport Logistics provided 40 trucks and three staff members in disaster assistance support. Branch Manager Jason Harness organized the initial response and was joined by Magellan Operation members Brian Wideman and Justin Starr who remain on site as the relief efforts continue. They serve as on location “Wranglers” in providing FEMA assistance from Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. Wranglers are needed 24/7 ensuring logistics management of supplies to the affected storm ravaged communities Matthew caused extensive damage to Mexico Beach, Panama City and counties paralleling the Floridan coastline.
